Chapter 25. Combine Paths

In this chapter, you’ll first learn about the Shape Mode commands, which create editable compound shapes from multiple objects. Then you’ll learn about the Pathfinder commands, which produce a flattened, closed object or compound path. And finally, you’ll learn how to join two or more objects into a compound path via the Compound Path command, then add objects to, reverse an object’s fill in, and release the compound path.
