It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

X-Ray and Computed Tomography
10.1 Introduction
So far we have covered the basics of Python and its scientific modules; and image processing techniques. In this chapter, we begin our journey of learning image acquisition. In this chapter, we begin the discussion with x-ray generation and detection. We discuss the various modes in which x-ray interacts with matter. These methods of interaction and detection have resulted in many modes of x-ray imaging such as angiography, fluoroscopy etc. We complete the discussion with the basics of CT, reconstruction and artifact removal.
