MOTION VERSUS PROGRESS

Incessant busyness is an epidemic. Filling your time with tasks doesn’t necessarily mean that you are being productive, doing something meaningful, or making progress toward achieving your goals. Reflect on what your goals are, and identify what you ABSOLUTELY have to do to fulfill them. Write a list of “A” tasks—without doing these, the objectives will never be reached. Then write a list of “B” tasks—you may reach the goals without them, but the process will suffer in terms of execution, quality, or efficiency. Finally, write a “C” list—tasks that you want to do but that don’t directly promote your goals. Once you have the list, focus your time and efforts accordingly.
