Chapter 4 broke down the foundation of idea generation with tools for brainstorming and problem solving using divergent thinking and free association, then capturing concepts through mind maps and mood boards.

I believe this is one of the most valuable skill sets that you can apply to any endeavor; it is certainly not limited to the arts. Having a mind that is open to possibilities and that can brainstorm multiple solutions in any situation is an asset regardless of the circumstance.
