SERIES AND LONG-TERM PROJECTS
A series is defined as a cohesive, coherent collection of pieces that have a unified theme. I prefer to work in series; I find it a more complete exploration of a topic, where you dive in fully to see what you can discover. Try and fail, make and remake, analyze and improve. The work strengthens and becomes more interesting and meaningful as you learn from each shoot along the way.
Each image in a series needs to be distinct, able to stand on its own, and gain strength and meaning when placed alongside the other images. The images need to be cohesive without being redundant or repetitive in a way that detracts from the series or feels boring.
