6Make a Movie in a Hurry

The whole point of iMovie ’09 is to make editing your video faster and easier. So in that spirit, this chapter offers a stripped-down walkthrough of the video editing experience.

In subsequent chapters I cover each step in more detail, but if you’re burning to turn your footage into a movie and share it with the world, this is the place to start. Keep in mind that iMovie offers several ways to perform some tasks; for example, I’ve shown only two ways to trim a clip here, but more methods are described in Chapter 10.
