I’m convinced that iMovie’s developers at Apple talked management into letting them explore the world in the name of “research.” How else to explain the several travel-focused features? (Maybe it’s because so many people document their vacations on video?)
Exhibit A: themes. iMovie’s themes add animated elements that frame the movie with more than just your footage—your video can become a virtual book of your experiences, to name one theme. When you apply a theme to a project, iMovie adds an opening title, an end title (complete with a “directed by” credit with your name inserted), and several theme transitions that follow the same visual idea.
