Configuring AP using Cisco Mobility Express

Cisco Mobility Express (CME) uses one of the APs to act the WLC for the Wi-Fi LAN. The other APs join this controller as normal APs, using the CAPWAP protocol. The APs in this deployment can act as either a CME capable AP or a normal AP in the CAPWAP mode.

The show version command from the console port of the AP is used to find out the current mode of the AP. The output of the command is shown in the following figure:
