If change or release management is new to your organization, you should establish a pilot program to test the waters. If your organization has tried and failed at these ITIL disciplines, you should establish a pilot program to help regain lost confidence. As a matter of fact, the only time a pilot program doesn’t make sense is if you’ve already been successful and currently have an effective change and release management service.
