CHAPTER 11. Communication and Enterprise Roll Out
After the pilot has ended and the victory celebration is complete, the long, slow march toward implementation begins in earnest. Although the pilot is a tightly controlled, highly visible environment where everything runs as planned, the production roll out can be just the opposite. Control gets distributed and sometimes slips. Visibility of the effort, even to other parts of the same project team, can sometimes be minimal. Your best-conceived plans are likely to take twists and turns that you would never have dreamed. All of this makes the deployment stage a grand adventure.
