Upgrading the application code

After the technical upgrade of the database to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018, you will need to upgrade the application code.

Even after the technical upgrade, there could be a possibility that they have not been tested by the development team with the previous application version. It is highly recommended, if not mandatory, that you perform a complete upgrade—a so-called full upgrade—of both the platform and application files.

The application code is basically where the functionalities in Microsoft Dynamics NAV reside. Without upgrading the application code, you will not be able to utilize the new features with the new version.
