So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Business contingency planning
Part of your go-live planning must address business contingency planning. Conduct a premortem session to brainstorm areas that may go wrong and to find ways in which the team can reduce the likelihood or mitigate the business impact if the issue occurs. Review the critical business functions that are important for the organization and develop contingency plans in order to run the business if you don't have the computer systems in place momentarily.
The goal of this contingency planning is to plan for the unknowns that may come your way. The following are a few examples that will help with the brainstorming process:
