Storage migration
This chapter describes the steps that are involved in migrating data from an external storage system to the capacity of the IBM SAN Volume Controller by using the storage migration wizard. Migrating data from other storage systems to the IBM SAN Volume Controller consolidates storage. It also allows for IBM Spectrum Virtualize features, such as IBM Easy Tier, thin provisioning, compression, encryption, storage replication, and the easy-to-use GUI to be used across all volumes.
