Chapter 6: VxRail Upgrade
In Chapter 5, Managing VMware vSAN, we described the advantages of the vSAN storage policy. The advantage is that we can easily define the different failure tolerance methods to protect the virtual machine and change the RAID protection level of the virtual machine without any service interruption.
In this chapter, we will provide an overview of VxRail drive expansion and software upgrade procedures. We can easily upgrade the vSAN capacity in the VxRail cluster based on the disk group configuration rules. The life cycle management of VxRail can help us to minimize the service interruption in the maintenance window.
