As the saying goes: There’s a first time for everything. I imagine that you are reading this book because you are looking to lead at least one retrospective. If you already have some experience in leading retrospectives and you know the retrospective’s phase model, you can skip this chapter. If you don’t have experience, in this chapter I take you step by step through your first retrospective so that you find your first retrospective easier than I did mine. To do this, I’ve made a few assumptions:
• Your retrospective will last an hour.
• You will have three to eight participants.
