5.4 Binding the DB2 application plans
The selection of Option 4 from the panel EKYGP02E (Figure 5-7 on page 97) will
display panel EKYGP60E, as shown following in Figure 5-11 on page 104. Select
an option from panel EKYGP60E and press Enter to perform the task.

Option 1 Specifies if you are using the Package Bind for IMS
DPROP and SQL update modules and displays
EKYGP62E (Figure 5-12 on page 105).
Option 2 Binds the plan for the IMS DPROP Status Change utility
(SCU) and displays EKYGP64E (Figure 5-14 on
page 107).
Option 3 Binds the plan for the IMS DPROP Mapping Verification
and Generation (MVG) application and displays
EKYGP65E (Figure 5-15 on page 108).
Option 4 Binds the plan for the IMS DPROP Consistency Check
Utility (CCU) and displays EKYGP66E (Figure 5-16 on
page 109.
Option 9 Binds the plan for the DPROP MQSeries Apply and
displays EKYGP6BE (Figure 5-17 on page 110).
Option E Returns to the DPROP- System Parameters and Job
Generation menu EKYGP02E (Figure 5-4 on page 93).

5.4.1 Prepare binds for the IMS DPROP and SQL update modules
Selecting Option 1 from the panel EKYGP60E (Figure 5-11), opens panel
EKYGP62E (Figure 5-12) and EKYGP63E (Figure 5-13) in sequence.

To separate the read only IMS DPROP modules from read/write IMS DPROP
modules, and to separate both of them from the non-IMS DPROP modules (SQL
update modules), you define three different DB2 collection IDs on panel
EKYGP62E:
In the Collection ID 1 field, type the read/write collection ID 1.
In the Collection ID 2 field, type the read only collection ID 2.
In the Collection ID 3 field, type the read/write collection ID 3 for the
propagating applications.
Press Enter
to commit your input and to display panel EKYGP63E(Figure 5-13).
Note: It is recommended that careful consideration be given to the names
of these collections, so as to avoid confusion or potential duplication after
multiple IMS DPROP MQ Apply systems are installed.

5.4.2 Creating the privileges for the DB2 collection IDs
Panel EKYGP63E (Figure 5-13) is presented after you have pressed Enter to
commit your changes to panel EKYGP62E (Figure 5-12).

To update panel EKYGP63E, enter the necessary DB2 authorization IDs for each
collection ID:
Type the authorization ID for the CREATE IN privilege for collection ID 1.
Type the authorization ID for the EXECUTE privilege for collection ID 1.
Type the authorization ID for the CREATE IN privilege for collection ID 2.
Type the authorization ID for the EXECUTE privilege for collection ID 2.
Type the authorization ID or IDs for the CREATE IN and the EXECUTE
privileges for collection ID 3.
Press Enter to commit your input and to display panel EKYGP60E
(Figure 5-11 on page 104).
Note: In granting these accesses, you should consider your installations
security standards. Most installations would grant accesses such as these
to specific administrative user IDs. PUBLIC
authority shown in Figure 5-13
is used for demonstrational purposes only and should not be considered as
a recommendation.

5.4.3 Prepare the binds for the SCU plan
Selecting Option 2 from panel EKYGP60E (Figure 5-11 on page 104), displays
panel EKYGP64E (Figure 5-14 on page 107).

To complete panel EKYGP64E, you are required to supply the following values:
SCU Plan Name
Type a unique DB2 application plan name for the SCU.
DB2 authorization ID
Type authorization IDs necessary to execute the SCU plan.

5.4.4 Defining the binding plan for the MVG application
Selecting Option 3 from panel EKYGP60E (Figure 5-11 on page 104), displays
panel EKYGP65E (Figure 5-15).

MVG Plan Name
Type a unique DB2 application plan name for the MVG.
DB2 authorization ID
Type authorization IDs necessary to execute the MVG plan.
