14.11 Summary of sysplex terminal management
Sysplex terminal management is a complex topic which will impact the way in which IMS
systems programming, operations, and end-users view the IMSplex. While much of it just
“happens” without specific user intervention or definition, it can be very confusing when, for
example, a user’s logon request is rejected because that user has “RM affinity” to another
IMS. But its objectives have been met, and the infrastructure is there to continue building on
those accomplishment:
Resource type consistency
Resource name uniqueness
Resource status recovery
Global callable services
