Appendix D. Shortcuts Cheat Sheet
IN THIS APPENDIX
Using shortcuts in InDesign
Learning shortcuts new to InDesign CS4
Shortcuts are essential to making the most of InDesign. Sure, you can access everything from a menu or pane, but shortcuts make the work much faster. This appendix covers InDesign's keyboard shortcuts and working with contextual menus, which lets you use the mouse to find out what options are available for specific objects.
Because there are so many keyboard shortcuts, I've broken them into functional areas to help you find them more easily in the following table. Note that shortcuts marked with an asterisk (*) have changed in InDesign CS4 or are new to InDesign CS4. Features marked with an asterisk are new to InDesign CS4.
Also note that these shortcuts are the default shortcuts for InDesign; you can edit these defaults by choosing Edit
