STYLES HAVE BEEN AROUND since the dawn of desktop publishing, continually evolving in their ease of use and range of capabilities. A bedrock feature of any page layout program, styles enable better design and more efficient workflow. No matter how good your conceptual grasp of typography, it won’t amount to much unless you can apply type formatting consistently and efficiently using styles.
