Abstract
The goal of this chapter is to help clarify quickly the consumption or production capacities of recycled and renewable materials by family, countries (United States, EU, Asia), and application markets.
After an overview of the global recycled and renewable plastics industry (up to 2020 and even beyond 2050 for long-term forecast), are examined the market shares of the various renewable plastics families and the main application sectors. Renewable additives, natural fibers (NFs), NF composites, and wood plastic composite are also included.
Renewable plastic and NF costs are studied through raw material, additive, and reinforcement prices.
