Configuring alerts in Grafana

To configure alerts in Grafana, you need to create a notification channel.

Grafana supports a range of default notification channels, including the following:

• Email
• Slack
• HipChat
• Telegram

To create a notification channel, proceed as follows:

1. Open the Alerting menu and select Notification channels:

2. On the Notification channels page, click the New Channel button.
3. On the displayed New Channel page, add an email channel and check Include image.
4. To add a Slack channel, repeat the actions as described in Step 1 to Step 4.
