Benefit Measurement and Realization

This chapter introduces us to a rather complex phase of our DevOps 360° operating model – that of benefit measurement and realization. We will start by outlining the value proposition of measuring and realizing benefits during the DevOps 360° evolution and will highlight the importance of continuity and materializing the DevOps equilibrium while doing so. Continuing, we will highlight the important distinction between a key performance target (KPT) and a metric. These are two terms that the industry often confuses.
