First the back story: In 2002, Pavithra Mehta (then Krishnan) sent a formal e-mail request to her granduncle, Dr. V, asking if she could come in each morning to interview him in his office at Aravind-Madurai. She doesn’t fully know why she did this. But it changed her life irrevocably. “You can come every day,” he replied, “including Sunday.” So she did.
