The Scottish Government Library: a case study
Jenny Foreman and Morag Higgison
Abstract:
The case study describes the work of the Scottish Government Library’s services – in particular, its information literacy training programme – and its strategic development work in information literacy which has included collaboration with both external and internal partners, setting up a community of practice and revision of its information literacy skills training programme. Attempts to promote an information literacy strategy for the organisation proved less successful. A major evaluation of the training programme was carried out using the Kirkpatrick model and needed improvements identified.
