The future of information literacy instruction
Abstract:
This chapter presents ideas and possibilities for ILI in the future. There is a need to expand the concept of information literacy to include a wider range of learning outcomes. The participants of the twenty-first century face a greater challenge, a greater risk, in searching for information. The Internet has changed the way that library participants search for information. They are more apt to fulfill their information needs without the epistemological protection a librarian provides.
