LET’S TAKE A QUICK high-level tour of some elements related to corporations and the rule of law to set the stage for what’s to come. Because this is an introduction to legal and organizational concepts, many of the concepts presented here might be new. Rest assured that we will revisit the most important of these points in later chapters in different contexts, which should make them more relevant. Our purpose here is to simply introduce the ideas for later elaboration. Why do you suppose knowing how corporations are formed as a legal entity might matter to security?
