Game theory is a stream of mathematics and logic in which strategic interactions among “rational” players advance toward a goal or objective. Game theory has been applied in a variety of problems ranging from economic forecasting to nuclear warfare. Also, game theory is appropriate for working in combination with a number of common computer algorithms such as stochastic models, finite state machines, and various forms of event chaining such as a continuous-time Markov chain (CMTC).
