Pilot project overview
This case study describes the modernization methods, technologies, and processes employed in the pilot project to mitigate the risks associated with the replacement and retirement of the PowerBuilder- and 4GL-based applications. Because the PowerBuilder and 4GL technologies are the foundation of several of the larger core business applications, modernizing these systems required mitigation of risk through careful planning and execution of a risk-reduction pilot.
