This section delineates the tasks addressed by TSRI and the approach taken to accomplish those tasks. It is interesting to note that TSRI employed different versions of its modernization tool suites during the first and second phases of the REMIS migration in 2002 and 2005, respectively. During the REMIS Increment-1 and -2 migration from COBOL85 to C++ TSRI used a tool suite based on eVolution 2000™, an early generation modernization technology that the company based on Refine*COBOL™ from Reasoning, Inc.
