Future Opportunities for the Pilot Program
The LSM pilot project was an opportunity to show how the industry is using transformation tools to modernize legacy systems. The pilot's findings were promoted by the FAM Council as an alternative process for modernizing legacy applications that are currently quarantined.
In addition to the process for legacy system modernization, an opportunity to identify aged systems with similar functionalities was identified. The identification, modernization, and rollup of like systems into a Web-centric portal were a defined goal of the FAM.
