Chapter 10. Designing for Power

Goal-Directed design starts with the definition of user personas and their goals. In the last chapter, I described personas at length. In this chapter, I will give similar treatment to goals, showing how they can be identified and put to use as a potent design tool. The two are inseparable, like the obverse sides of a coin. A persona exists to achieve his goals, and the goals exist to give meaning to a persona.
