Conclusion
The scientific position that we defend through this work consists of considering innovation and export in SMEs as two complementary activities integrating a common space. This common space represents the activities/resources/skills that an SME must mobilize as a priority in order to simultaneously improve its performance in terms of innovation and export while reducing the effort associated with this increase in performance. Thus, this research work leads to the identification of this common innovation–export space, to its characterization in terms of joint activities and finally, to its exploitation through the creation of a tool to support SMEs, encouraging them to act in priority on this common space.
C.1. The contributions
This book proposes various contributions relating to several scientific fields linked to the study of SMEs’ innovation and export capabilities. Part 1 (Chapters 1 and 2), which is more theoretical, aims at building a relevant analytical framework to address the issue of innovation and export in SMEs. Part 2 (Chapters 3 and 4), which is more operational, aims to design and test an evaluation tool to implement a complex vision of the innovation–export relationship in support of SMEs.
More precisely, the objective of Chapter 1 is to present the scientific position chosen for this research work. By analyzing the innovation–export relationship, on the one hand, through the prism of scientific research, and on the other hand, through the actions ...
