6. The FOAK Process: Phases II and III

Phase I of the FOAK process ended with submitting a proposal to the FOAK Board for review. We’ve looked at key elements of this phase in detail. At this point, the IBM Proposal Team gets good news. Their proposal has been approved! It is now a real project, and some (but not all) funding is available. The IBM Project Team must quickly take all the necessary steps to secure the best client partner, because if they don’t do that fast enough, the project will be terminated.

Once they have a partner signed up, they need to perform the project, and the clock is ticking. They can mark the last day of the project on their calendars. It will not change. But that will not be the last day of work for the IBM Project ...
