13. The Future of Collaborative Innovation
Talking about the future could take us anywhere. We’ll confine ourselves to near-term perspectives in three key frontiers of collaborative innovation: virtual teams, deeper innovation, and open approaches. Each of these is exquisitely sensitive to changing views on intellectual property (IP) and the emergence of more powerful technologies supporting collaboration. In addition, while they are developing more or less separately, they are likely to overlap to an increasing extent as time goes by.
