As Peter and David sat enjoying their beers, a group of people walked into the bar.
“Peter!” yelled one of them, and the entire troupe walked over to their table.
“Meet my friend, David.” The group was from Peter’s company. A series of introductions ensued. They were all excited and in a boisterous mood. Sensing their boss and his friend were deep in serious conversation and did not want to be disturbed, after a few minutes the group decided to move to its own table.
“Nice people!” said David.
“Yeah, they are.”
“Sales?”
“Actually, they are all from different departments.”
“That’s cool. Dad didn’t encourage hallway talk. People have never really mingled that much at our company,” said David ruefully.
