Some Exercises to Fuel Innovation
Today’s business leaders want their employees to help them invent creative, fresh solutions to their biggest problems. One way is to teach employees to think innovatively. In this chapter, we provide some concrete exercises to help you do exactly that, fueling innovation in your organization. You can think about these as tinder for the fire. They’ll help start you on the path to many of the dimensions, while underscoring that there are several ways forward with building a culture for innovation. Almost all of these exercises work with the type of improvisational philosophy and mindset and connections with organizational, leadership, and societal literatures described in the previous two chapters.
