A Brief Application Walkthrough

Now that we have an installed version of the ProjectPal web application, it’s only fair that we walk through some of its functionality. To start with, I look at the ProjectPal application from the viewpoint of a project manager, and then look at it from the viewpoint of a staff member.

The Project Manager’s Viewpoint

The project manager’s view of the system is that of an administrator. The project manager has complete access to the whole ProjectPal application and is the only user who can create projects, stages, and tasks.

When a project manager logs into the ProjectPal system, the login area can be found just below the ProjectPal logo at the top of the page in the toolbar area, as shown in Figure 17.13.
