Chapter 10. Basic Object Editing

It is estimated that more than 70 percent of your time using AutoCAD will be spent editing existing objects. With this in mind, it is critical that you understand and efficiently implement the different methods for editing. Editing commands are grouped into two classes: editing commands that can be used on a variety of objects, and editing commands that are designed for a specific type of object. This chapter concentrates on the selection methods, standard editing commands, and processes. Chapter 11, “Advanced Geometry Editing,” concentrates on enhanced editing methods and object-specific editing commands.
