Understanding the Capabilities of the Web-Oriented AutoCAD 2002
The Web enabling of AutoCAD actually began with the AutoCAD Release 13 Internet Publishing Kit (IPK). The IPK included some utilities for accessing DWG files across the Net of the WHIP! plug-in for Netscape Navigator, and the capability to create DWF files from inside Release 13. With Release 14, some key elements of the IPK were integrated into AutoCAD, resulting in a more Internet-friendly product. AutoCAD 2002 takes Internet functionality to new heights by offering a seamless and transparent integration for access to resources on remote sites.
