Defining a User Coordinate System in 3D Space

The UCS command provides the means of changing the location of the 0,0,0 origin point of a coordinate system, as well as the orientation of the XY plane and Z-axis. Any plane or point in 3D space can be referenced, saved, and recalled, and you can define as many user coordinate systems as you require. Coordinate input and display are relative to the current UCS. In AutoCAD 2002, if multiple viewports are active, you can assign a different UCS to each.
