Installing Terminal Services Licensing
After installing Terminal Services in Application Server mode, you have 90 days to do your testing before it will start verifying licensing with a Terminal Services Licensing server on the network. Use these 90 days wisely to ensure that your solution will work as you expect it to.
After a Terminal Services Licensing server has been installed, you need to activate the server before it can start giving out Terminal Server CALs. This is done by contacting the Microsoft Licensing Clearinghouse to obtain an activation code for your server. After your server has been activated, you will need to add licenses to it, so that it can respond to license requests.
