Chapter 19. The Tools

Now there is a chapter title that sounds all-encompassing! What does "The Tools" refer to? Good question. This chapter is about some of the more interesting tools that are used with various Linux distributions. Many of the "generic" tools have been covered in other chapters of this book. Some of the generic tools covered are Samba, Apache, and system administration tools including user management (such as adduser), file management (such as mkdir), process management (such as ps and kill), and printing. Most of those tools are quite commonplace and are fairly well documented in this book and in the public domain.
