Setting Database Options

You can set several dozen options, or properties, for a database to control certain behavior within that database. Some options must be set to ON or OFF, some must be set to one of a list of possible values, and others are enabled by just specifying their name. By default, all of the options that require ON or OFF have an initial value of OFF unless the option was set to ON in the model database. All databases created after an option is changed in model will have the same values as model. You can easily change the value of some of these options by using SQL Server Management Studio.
