Bringing Images from a Digital Camera to a Computer
Understanding how your digital camera transfers images to your computer requires that you understand a little about your camera's basic anatomy. Your camera contains a sensor that captures the image, an internal computer that controls the images captured by the sensor, and a removable memory card on which the picture is stored (this memory card goes by many names including media card or digital film). To print or edit the image in Photoshop, you first must transfer the stored images from the memory card to a computer.
