Advanced Looping

There’s more to ACID than just “pick, paint and play.” This chapter outlines several techniques that will help you get more out of ACID’s vast power for manipulating loops.

Manipulating Loops

To change the tempo of a loop track:

1.  Access the track’s properties by double-clicking the track’s icon in the track list.

2.  Under the Stretch tab, double the value under “Number of beats” to halve the tempo; halve the value to double the tempo.

Keep halving or doubling the number of beats if the tempo of the track still doesn’t give you the results that you need.
