So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Recording Surround
Surround sound projects are typically built through a careful blending of mono and stereo recordings. Through volume and placement, you immerse your listening audience into a unique aural environment and experience. Increasingly, projects are being recorded directly to the discrete format at the source. Capturing a live musical performance, for example, directly to the 5.1 format results in a recording that captures the original sound of the room. Supplementing the 5.1 recording with dedicated spot mics provides additional control over the final blend.
