Hardware, Add-ons, and Installation
Vegas requires some specific PC hardware to run optimally. Though you may be able to get by with less, we don’t recommend it. Here are the details to get you up and running fast with minimum fuss or muss. Also, we’ve included some additional hardware and software, though not required by Vegas, that can make using the program a better experience.
What’s in the Box?
Vegas 5 and Vegas Movie Studio do not require any special hardware to work correctly. You just need to invest in a fairly robust computer system, but not expensive add-ons (unlike some other NLEs). According to Sony, Vegas 5 requires these minimum specs.
