Advanced Editing Techniques
In the last chapter, we looked at some basic editing techniques. There are a large number of creative tools available in Vegas Movie Studio, and they are there to let the artist in you shine. These include effects, compositing, picture-in-picture looks, movement on stills, and more.
Video FX
Video FX fall into two categories: utility and creative. Generally, utility effects fix something wrong with your video or audio. Creative effects typically take your project to a new level. However, some effects can be used both ways. Sometimes effects are referred to as “filters.” There is no right or wrong word for describing these.
