Over the past four decades, instructional systems development (ISD) has proven itself as the vehicle for developing sound training programs. One of the most important parts of ISD is the creation of instructional objectives. Objectives describe what students should be able to do (student performance), the conditions under which this should occur, and set acceptable performance standards. Written instructional objectives lead to consistent results across large training audiences, as well as providing measures against which your training's success can be benchmarked.
