Abstract
We all know that Flat breads are very popular, especially in those parts of the world where bread constitutes a major source of dietary protein and calories. In India, wheat is a daily staple, consumed in different forms. With urbanization and industrialization, there is a rise in the demand for ready-to-eat and easy-to-make products, but making the equipment available at a reasonable cost, energy efficient and making it work under optimal conditions was a big task.
In this paper we are designing a dough rolling machine which is energy efficient, does not consume much power and comprises a simple mechanical process. It is lightweight and is available for an affordable cost. Sheeting is usually carried out by a pair of sheeting rolls with rotation motion. A portable and manually operated, energy-efficient dough rolling machine was designed and fabricated.
The analysis of the experimental results revealed that the machine consistently provided the necessary products by consuming a low amount of power. The proposed equipment not only allows to efficiently obtain a product but also allows ...
